Research Paper - Perfect for the Moment.
It started over a cup of coffee.
I was watching a discussion with Bill Gates about digital identity when one simple question came to mind:
What do we actually mean by productivity?
I thought I knew where the paper was heading.
Then I took a day off.
Not from work, but from my own workshop.
I spent the day helping someone else instead. No writing. No research. No trying to solve the paper.
The following morning, over another cup of coffee, the ideas started connecting in ways they hadn't before.
That's when I realised something.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is change workshops.
That single day shifted the direction of the paper. It stopped being about productivity alone and became a much broader exploration of decision-making, reflection, community, purpose, and how better thinking might lead to better outcomes for individuals, businesses, governments, and society.
Today I'm sharing Perfect for the Moment.
This isn't an academic paper, and I'm not an academic. It's simply a paper written by someone who is curious, asks questions, enjoys conversations, and believes that better questions often lead to better thinking. It is a transparent record of one journey of inquiry between me and Atlas, showing how conversation, reflection, and continual calibration shaped the ideas along the way.
If it prompts you to pause, ask a different question, or look at an old problem from a new perspective, then it has achieved exactly what I hoped.
