For Atlas, that workbench is becoming the Atlas Workshop Platform—the software that will sit at the heart of everything we are building.
Over the last little while we've been deep in the engineering. Not just writing software, but designing the architecture that allows people and AI to work together inside a governed digital workshop.
The platform is where our research starts becoming something people can actually use.
As we developed the software, something interesting happened.
The engineering naturally led us into two new research papers.
The first, Atlas Assurance Case, brings together the constitutional principles, governance, software architecture, verification, and architectural stress testing we've developed into a single body of evidence explaining why the Atlas Workshop should be trusted.
The second took an unexpected turn.
Rather than being about Atlas itself, it became a broader research paper:From Verification to Trust: An Assurance Case Framework for Human–AI Collaborative Systems.
Instead of asking "What can AI do?", it asks a different question:"How do we demonstrate that a human–AI collaborative system deserves to be trusted?"
That shift feels important.
For us, writing software and writing research are not separate activities.
The software shapes the research.
The research shapes the software.
Both continue to evolve together, one workshop conversation at a time.
